Dr. Gary Johnston of Moncton was presented with the Scott Knowles Memorial New Practitioner Service Award at NBPA’s PharmaNB 2025 conference on Sat., May 24 in Fredericton.
Named in honour of the late Scott Knowles, who died while NBPA President in 2011, this award honours innovation and excellence and may be for service to the profession or the public.
In presenting the award to Gary at the ceremony, fellow pharmacist Saleem Chishti said he is the type of pharmacist who will always stand up for his colleagues and his patients, sentiments echoed in the testimonial accompanying his nomination:
He is a new clinician that goes above and beyond for his patients. He is active in the community and pursues continuing education opportunities. He is a capable Doctor of Pharmacy that deserves recognition for his efforts working in New Brunswick.
