ob Description
Harrisville Pharmacy | Moncton, NB
$55–$60/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Want more room to actually practise pharmacy?
Harrisville Pharmacy is looking for a full-time pharmacist to join our team in Moncton.
We are a locally owned independent pharmacy with a different approach to community practice. Our pharmacist-led primary care model puts the pharmacist at the front line of care, combining excellent prescription and medication management with assessment, prescribing, injections, vaccines and other clinical services within the pharmacist's scope of practice.
If there is an area of pharmacy practice that interests you and you see an opportunity to develop it, we want to hear about it. You will work directly with a pharmacist-owner who is prepared to support good clinical ideas and explore how they can be developed safely and sustainably.
Harrisville is part of Wholehealth Pharmacy Partners, but the pharmacy is locally owned and operated. Employment, staffing and day-to-day practice decisions are made here in Moncton by the owners. There is no distant corporate office deciding what kind of pharmacist you should be.
We are articularly interested in talking with pharmacists who want to use more of their training and professional judgment, or who have found it difficult to expand their practice in their current environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- is licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a pharmacist in New Brunswick;
- is kind, empathetic and genuinely enjoys getting to know patients;
- is friendly and neighbourly while maintaining strong professional standards;
- is clinically curious and interested in practising broadly within the pharmacist's scope;
- values patient safety, good judgment, teamwork and professional accountability;
- can remain calm and thoughtful when the pharmacy gets busy;
- is comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas and helping us improve how we provide care; and
- wants to work somewhere where the patient relationship still matters.
English is required. Bilingualism in English and French is a definite asset, but it is not a requirement.
This is a full-time position. Compensation is $55–$60/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Schedule, benefits and the other details of the position will be discussed openly during the recruitment process.
Not ready to apply? That's okay.
If this sounds interesting but you are not sure you want to change employers, you can speak directly with Andrew Drover, Pharmacist Owner, before applying.
That conversation can simply be a conversation. There is no obligation to apply or accept a position.
Your inquiry will be treated confidentially. We will not contact your current employer or any references without your express permission. If you ultimately decide to remain where you are, your conversation with us will remain confidential.
To apply, or to arrange a confidential conversation, contact Andrew Drover directly at Harrisville Pharmacy.
