Contributing to Our Communities

Heart and Stroke / BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend
Tuesday, January 1, 2013

New Brunswick’s pharmacists love the communities where they raise their families and care for their patients.

Whether they are donating items for silent auctions, sponsoring a sports team, helping to raise money for breast cancer, volunteering their time to educate people about diabetes or spearheading new pharmacy research projects, pharmacists are proud to contribute to their communities.

Jean Coutu Pharmacies in New Brunswick raised $34,950 for the Heart and Stroke / BMO Hockey Heroes Weekend 2013 in Moncton, NB. With team Captain Geoff Baird (R.Pharm) and legend Ray Bourque leading the charge of the team consisting of pharmacists Robert Holmes, Brian Fitzpatrick, Guy Leblanc, Alistair Bursey, Mitch MacAdam, Dane Patkai, Aaron Lloyd, Marc Carriere, and our great partners. The goal to raise $350 000 was easily surpassed, with $629,000 in total raised to support NB Heart and Stroke Foundation!
